fights there.I'de allways hook up with a German girl with a
jealous soccer type boy friend, but I handled my own.Gun Dogs,Red

Was at Pinder from Oct 90 to Sep 91. Assigned to SVC 2/1. Roomed
with Sam Hartwig from Arkansas. Went to Desert Storm and was
reassigned to Fort Carson, Colorado when heavy "disbanding" was
happening. Remember the Zirndorfer's and the best food ever.
Found the old bomb shelter behind the barracks. (dug out
entrance) Trying to get to the lower levels for the fabled
secret passages was fun also. Volksmarches just about every
weekend exploring the countryside. (The free mugs/glasses after
the walks still decorate my kitchen) Got tatoo at Eddies in
Nurnberg. (color still bright) So many memories not enough
space. I recall this website being started some 10-12 years ago
and it is great to see the overwhelming response to a part of
all of our lives we will certainly not forget and that we are
proud of. Hope to get back to the beautiful countryside with my
family some day. Hope all of you certainly have found everything

Does anyone know if there is any truth that there are several
floors beneath Merril Barracks that were flooded by draining
some of the small lakes in Nurnberg when we bombed the place in
WW2?
We were lead to believe these shallow lakes were drained
periodically to be used as emergency air strips.
True or false, that is good stuff.
I like to say something about First Sgt. Steele and Capt. Ronald
S, Bullard here, but I won't.
Hello to Sally, Otto (sorry to hear about Gonyo), Mark B.,
Gonzo, and many others.
Hey Sgt. Mills...mind if I call you Rick? Ha. We kept our hash
in the blousing of our pant legs. Survived many a Health and
Welfare shakedown that way!
Remember, if you aint laughing the joke's on YOU. Be good, and
keep those postings coming.

I was an Army brat that lived outside Pinder Barracks in the
military quarters from 82-85 on Volgelherde St. Had great
memories of sneaking into post through fences in the back of the
barracks and going into the underground bunkers as dares.I also
worked a couple of summers on Pinder Barracks doing odd jobs. It
was great money for a 14 year old kid. I will never forget the

I was in the 156th Maint. Co from '74 to '77. Sure are a lot of
familiar names here. Brings back a lot of fond memories. Good
friends, good times.
Tom Van Horn and I arrived together. We met in Small Arms Repair
School at Aberdeen Proving Grounds and realized that we were
both gun nuts. We requested assignment to the same unit. He
rotated home about two weeks before I did in ’77. He and I still
keep in touch.
I remember being on duty one night (as duty driver?) with Sgt.
Ackerman as CQ. We talked most of the night about guns and ammo,
long past when his eyes glazed over. Also remember the legendary
Pinochle games in the shop office.
Anybody remember 1SG Ackles? One of the most abrasive
personalities I’ve ever met. I think I was one of maybe three
people in the company that got along with him. To this day I
have no idea what put me on his good side.
If anyone remembers me, give a holler.

If somebody can remember the restaurant CAPRI in Volkartstrasse,
compared with a garden colony below on the river, called Bibert,
not far from the Pinder removes .Man could run through the
Müller's meadow. The restaurant was torn off approx. 1970. If
somebody can still remember or pictures owns then writes to me!

What a great site. I accidently ran across it a while back.
I was stationed at 156th Maint Co at the back of Pinder 72-75
and got caught up in the 90 day extension due to the fuel crisis
of 75.
I have kept up with Ray Burt (retired in Kentucky), but not with
anyone else. He use to play guitar with Fred Holloway and "The
Heavy Country" band. I remember when the "pot heads" turned up
their music in the barracks and Burt hooked his amp to his 30"
speaker and actually had them begging for him to turn it down.
They promised to keep theirs at a more reasonable volume in the
future.
We had a lot of shop parties that I remember the first hour or
so of since we often had so much to drink that no one knew what
happened next.
Those were good years that allowed me to meet some great people
and travel all over Germany.

Joe,
Nice to hear from you. I bet you were surprised to see your
picture on here. Had you heard that SSG Phillips and Joette
Clover had passed away? So sad...
I keep in touch with Louise Murdock, John Tucker, Tim
Hartney and George Dale. George is coming to visit me the
end of July, haven't seen him since I left in 1975! I'll
tell him you signed the guest book here.
How is your family Joe?
That would be great if you have some picture to post on here
of the good old days at the 156th! I'll look forward to it!

Barb,
Email me your address and phone number if you would (and
when a good time to call if I can). It would be great to get
to talk with you again.
My family is doing great. I will bring you up to date in
email or on the phone.
Tell George I said hello and tell him to send me his contact
information too.
I did submit some of my pictures, but have not seen them on
the site yet.
Great to hear from you. |

I was in the 595 MP Co. from '83 to '85. Only my 2 daughters are
more precious. I have responded to Darren Stevens entry and am
looking for others who were there at the time. Frequented The
Green Goose, anyone remember a beautiful tall blonde girl named
Silkie? How about Club Ponderosa, 2 sweethearts there named
Gabby and Sylvia, or the artist Tekla (went by tequilla)? If you
walked from Pinder downtown there was a nice gasthaus ran by 2
Canadian girls, anyone remember the name of it or them? I pooled
my paycheck with Bruce Lipes once and had a free drink party for
all of our friends, I think it was when he was shipping out,
though I don't really remember to tell you the truth. Above all
else though I remember Dawn Daigle. If anyone see's tell her I
wish her well. Pinder may be gone but never forgotten. Drop a
line if you know me, know them, or know anything about what I'm
talking about. Thanks.

Hi to all that served at Pinder..My husband and I were stationed
in Zirndorf from April of 1968 to Dec. of 1968..It has been so
long ago, that I don't remember the Bat he was with, but I
believe it was the 16th Artillery..All I do remember, is he
worked on the honest John rockets and that we had some wonderful
friends over there..I guess I am just trying to reach back in
time.
His name was James B. Johnson and mine is Linda..We had 2 small
boys named Jimmy and Johnny
For all those who knew Jimmy and befriended him, I thank you,
but it was hard not to be his friend, he was a very likable
person..Jimmy died in Viet Nam in May of 1969, nearly 40 years
ago, but I would like to say hi to some of the people that Jimmy
and I knew over there..2 I remember the most, was Willie Bell
and Jerry Greene, also his Sgt, which had a strange name..lol..I
know I am not going to spell it correctly, but it was like
SOC-A-BE-SON..something like that anyway..
I have a picture of Jimmy posted on my page on myspace..Just
follow my homepage link and you will see it..
Thank you all for starting this page and thanks for reading my
message..God Bless you all and God Bless this great country of
ours..Linda
Jim Keller:
Hello Linda,
I was just leaving in May of 68. I was in the 16th Artillery

can't say that I knew much about him, since I lived off

Wow.. it is interesting to see some of these names surface.
Ahh Pinder...no finer place to spend a couple years with totally
unchecked bipolar issues. Somehow I made it, although it seems
quite surreal to me now. The hash probably had something to do
with that.
I remember Sgt. Rick "thrills and spills" Mills. The Royal Order
of Good ol' Boys; AKA Dan Morris,Joe Doucette, Jay Addy, Paul
Yarnell, Tim Rice and Johnny Vargas (hey, disco still sucks!). I
think Joe MacShan was in the mix as well. There was that creepy
"Aqualung" dude in town. Various musicians I jammed with. Hey
Lt. Nesbitt...are you still playing that Les Paul I sold you?
Anyway, life is good. Stay tuned for my website "Talago Guitars"
to open this summer. And remember; if you're not laughing, the
joke's on you. Be Good!
DT
Hartneytimo@rocketmail.co:
Hey Dan I've been looking for Joe Doucette. Any info on him?

Hey wasn't that Tim Rice from Il. who slugged it out in the
hallway with some smaller dude from W.Va. They took turns
hitting each other in the jaw until Rice shattered the
smaller guys jaw. Tim H |
Dan Talago:
Tim Rice was from MO. He was a pretty mellow soul. He lived
in Zirndorf with his wife and kids. I doubt he''d hit anyone
like that, even if they were from WV.
Doucette was last known to be functioning as a biologist in
the jungles of Boston. That was 25 years ago. Morris is in
Iowa somewhere. Don't know about the rest.
James Crea...are you out there?

My name is John Starkey, I was stationed at Pinder Barracks with
the 556 Ord Maint Co. from 1948 - 1950. After my arrival and
getting my gear stored away the first thing I wanted to do was
explore Zirndorf which I did and had the time fo my
life!!WOW!What a place,How lucky can a guy get!
Later that fall I was fortunate to be selected to attend an Ord
Maint Supply School at Eschwege, Germany for enlisted personnel.
Lucky me, I managed to graduate and get back to Zirdorf the day
before Christmas.
The next year I was invited to a week of full paid expenses of R
& R at Berchtesgaden.I don't have any idea of how that came
about, but I sure was happy over it and really enjoyed myself
immensely.
Another one of my favorite places, other than Zirndorf was,
Leichendorf, a small village close by (via-back gate (hole in
fence).Over time I became well acquainted with the
owner/proprietors, Ludwig and Maia Weisskkoph, also their
Mother.
Some of the names of fellows I remember were; George Weaver,
Fillpot, Shaw, Antone Rodegues, SPC Alicandri, SPC Willim Vaas,
Lt Horne and Cpl Gist, Truck driver. Attn:George, I'd like to
hear from you. Best regards to all.

I was a radio operator. I pulled many
shifts in the radio room at the end of the hall from the

Interesting stuff. Anyone else in radio while at Pinder. I heard
that the radio room was dismantled shortly after I left. True?
From pictures and
reports from the web sight it looks like
a lot has been changed since 68. It was
a fun place to be stationed. Downtown Zirdorff was a fun place

In memory of my beloved husband Col. Glen D. Skirvin who died on
21 April 2007. Glen is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. We
met at Pinder Barracks in 1982. He was the Battalion Commander
of 6/14th. FA. We married there, it was the best time of our
lives. We always cherished the memories of the wonderful people
we knew, and were thankful for finding each other at Pinder
Barracks, Zirndorf. WARBONNETS!
Wayne Helbert:
Dear Mrs. Skirvin, so sorry to hear of the passing of the
Col. I worked in the Battalion S1 and fondly recall Col.
Skirvin. Here is a salute to him - "Warbonnets Sir."
|
LTC(Ret) Bob Rivas:
Mrs Skirvin,
Sorry to hear about COL Skirvin's passing. I was with 6/14
FA from 80 to 82, but left for Bamberg just prior to his
taking command. I also met my wife at Pinder- we were
married in 1981. It was some of the best times of our lives.
God Bless. |
Barry Hillen:
Dear Mrs Skirvin, sorry for your loss, the COL was a fine
soldier! First met CPT Skirvin at Schofield Barracks in 1974
2/11FA and then again at Fort Hood, Texas in 1981. Lastly I
had the pleasure of serving with him again at Pinder
Barracks in 1984. May God Bless Mim and Keep Him!

I just read over all the posts and some great memories came
flooding back ( do I need to mention Zirndorfer beer, Green

I was stationed a Pinder Barracks from March 1954 to June 1955
originally with the 43 DIV. Our 1st day there, we had an ALERT.
We had not been issued any equipment yet, so they told us to
cool it in the Barracks until they came back. (Needless to say ,
we obeyed orders!)The 43 DIV. was there originally. They shipped
back to the states and were replaced by the 9th Div. I was with
Fox Co., 3rd Platoon, 2nd Battalion, 39th Inf. Reg., 9th Div.
Captian Bannister was our C.O. BIG John Landers was our 1st
Sargeant. When you come in the front gate, you pass under the
tower and if you look to your right across the parade field, you
could see Fox CO. barracks all the way across the back of the
field. The 1st Battalion was stationed in Nuremburg area. We
took our field training at Hoenfels area. This was during the
1950s COLD WAR period.
We were involved in many field training exercises, The biggest
one was "WEST WIND".This involved thousands of NATO troops along
with us.
I loved the German beer, The Weiner Snitzel, the German girls,
Oh,and did I mention the BEER! We used to swim in the pool
behind the Motor Pool. Damn, that water was cold. (I was a 20
year man! TWO years IN and eighteen years OUT.)
I'd like to go back some day, to see all the changes that have
occurred since then. (Don't forget to write if find work)

Just found this site and it has brought back some good memories
of the time I spent at PB. I was there from Apr 84' to May 86'
and enjoyed some good times with some good people - cant
remember all of the names but can see the faces. It was a good
time for a youngster getting to go around Zirndorf and Nurnberg.
I remember the Rock Bar in Zirndorf and the Goose, Marilyn, and
of course the Nashville. Paul Gervovac, Andrew Dodge, Robbie
Graves, Terrie Ann Holtzman - hope all are well.
Merry Christmas,

I viewed the guest book to see if I recognized any names. I came
across one I knew. I visited this site a couple of times, this
is the first time I signed in. I served in A BTRY 6/1 FROM
1986-1989. it was 6/14 when I first arrived and then it changed.
It seems like so long ago but I remember some great times there.
Does anyone remember the Green Goose or the Nashville? I'll
check back every so often. Warbonnets!
Don Kintzle:
Scott, I believe I remember you and I remember the Green
Goose and Nashville very well. We would have served together
in the ole' 6/14. I was in A Btry from Nov 85 to Apr 88, I
was the company clerk for a while then drove for 1SG Taz.
I'll try to list some of the names of others while we were
there. SFC Brooks, SFC Vilasana, Crazy SGT Young, SGT Don
Kane, Jeff Massey, Lloyd Knabb, Victor Bailey those are some
off the top of my head. |

I was stationed at Pinder from June'06 til Jan '09. I got an
early out to go back to school. I was in the metro section of
4th Armored DIVARTY. SGT. Wingo was our first SGT. We spent most
of our time at Vilsec Airfield outside Graf running baloon
flights for many different gun units. Most metro sections were
half strength because of Viet Nam. A lot of guys hated Pinder
and volunteered for Nam to get away.Mostly I remember being cold
and wet. I am sorry Pinder is gone. I wanted to take my wife to
see where she sent all those letters and fudge.

When Ellis left Sgt Tomlinson took over. Does anyone remember

This is amazing. One memory that I will never lose is the first
time I drove through the gates of Pinder in Oct of 87. It was a

What a trip down memory lane! I just discovered this site and
reviewed the entire guestbook. I was stationed at Pinder from
'81 thru '85. Started in HHB 6/14FA FDC and ended up B Btry FDC
Chief. Memory is getting foggier as time goes on, but things I
do remember: Elli's bar and Elli herself, REFORGER's through the
German countryside, BLACK Friday and the "Peyote Platoon",
Christmas time in Nurenberg, Paters (sp)resturant out past
Leichendorf which had the best Cordon Bleu I have still ever
had. And how about the "Lark Hill Gun Run"? I was back in 91-93,
but stationed at Wildflecken. Thanks for bringing all these
wonderful PINDER memories back.

It was great finding this website it brought back a lot of
memories. I was stationed at Pinder barracks from 7/74 to 12/76
in the 156 Miant. Co., I worked at the AK in the computer vans.
Some of the best memories I have in life happen there with some
of the best friends I could have met. I'm not good remembering
names but thanks to this guestbook I had it jarred a little,
there was Lt Murphy the officer in charge of the AK at first the
came Lt Basher, Sgt Siggers, Sgt Starcher, Sgt Stevens, Bob,
Capporoccio (Cap), Rick Mull, Cindy Gilsen, Joette Clover, and
if Tim Hartney is who I think he is his wife came over and they
used to live off post with their kids where we used to watch
Saturday Night Live at when it first came out at least and Ron
Ackerman I probably know to because he mentioned key punch
cards. Some of the best beer I ever had Zirndorfer and some of
the worst Tucher which the sold in the soda machines. The pizza
was greasey but it hit the spot, concerts and all kinds of other
things. Have to go now but I wish you all well and I'll be back
to this website hoping to see more and hear from some of you.

Just found this site after alot of years. Remember some of the
others that have signed this. I was in S-2 72-75 and worked with
Steve Hoskins and Doug LittleJohn. Lt. Mulligan and Lt. Drake
were the supervisors in S-2. Also remember SFC Lugo. Kept in
touch with Baca, Hopson, Fragoso, Harnois, Rachels, Perkins,
Saukkola and others over the years. Remember alot of good times
as Pinder Barracks was a trip. Pizza's from outside the gate
were the best. Hebert always wondered what happened to you..I
remember you working in the mail room and then being
transferred..I think one of our Btry commanders was Christensen,
and Lander was the Bn commander. Supply Sgt. was a Italian guy
named Rocenelli. Hope you all are well
Veryl Sievers:
Hi John, I was in the Survey Section of HHB and I remember
most of the guys you mentioned. SFC Lugo was our Chief until
he transfered to S2. Remember Cpt Wyatt and SSG Bronco &
Burgess. Just found this site and it's bringing back many
good memories. What a great time we had.

Thanks for a great site & bringing back great memories! Thanks
to Mary, my ex, for getting me here.
We were at Pinder from 1974-77, 156th
Maint Co. I worked in the shop office
for asome great guys: Jim Pfau, Jim ? "Pop" Graham. Played A LOT
of pinocle at lunch with Pop & Jim! I may have been the guy who
put the extra keypunch cards in the dumpster

It had to be a direct order to do so, eek!
We had a Lt Knox that was hard to deal with. Was buds with a guy
from Ohio, ??? Capparucio who had a really nice 65 289 blue
Mustang. I'm a car guy and still am. Now into American Motors
products - Javelins & Hornets)We
had a brown Austin Mini Cooper, bright green Opel Manta with
black stripes, a white 70 Opel GT, 2 64 VW's (bought parts from
Wild Bill who is listed on this site) and a blue 62 Mercedes 220
S Sedan that we sold just before we left.
Great times at Ellie's and the gasthouse out behind Pinder. We
lived
on Fiendelvieesen sp? Strasse in Nurnberg and I took the
Steetcar into Pinder until we got our 1st car. Went to a great
Gasthouse outside the gate at Darby also + the ones in downtown
Nurnberg especially the Nurnberger Bratwurst House!
What great people, food, beer & times
we had! Would love to here from anyone else from the 156th from
74-77.
Henry Steadman:
Ron, I don't know if you remember me Henry Steadman. I
worked in the supply room with Rick Tabor, and Red the
supply Sgt. I was there from 75 - 77. That was the best
assigment I had in the Army. I remember Lt Knox, he was the
supply officer for awhile. I have so many good memories of
that place. |
hartneytimo@rocketmail.co:
i used to hang with john [cap] capparucio and his wife donna
who worked up in the orderly room. he had a volkswagon bug
he would dirt race in nurmberg.cap was my roommate for a
while. did you play on our soft ball team with sgt. reddish?
who can forget the championship game where he walked in 13
runs and we lost the game ha.ha. from tim hartney
|
Joe Clark:
Ron,
I do remember you and the electronic shop at Pinder. I
remember Lt Knox and his ways too. I was at Pinder and the
156th from 72-75. I do recall Ray Burt, Mr Krause,
Capparucio and others. Those were great years. I did get
stuck as the training and re-enlistment NCO for a while, but
tried to make the best of it. The Pinnocle games there were
classic. It is hard to see that you stayed in the Army and
made 1SG. I got out in 77 and moved back home in SC to get
my kids to know their grandparents. The maintenance shop
parties (those I can remember) were great when we all
chipped in and had a great big blow-out. Great to hear from
you guys.

Does anyone miss the Wall. Every payday, with what little money
I had left, We'd head to Nuremburg. The first stop was the
Underground bar called the Hattskeller, I believe. We'd sit down
there and drink tripple bock and shoot the shit. Then We'd all
stroll around and end up walking the wall. How bout those ten
Mark beers in the sexbars? Always ended up in the Komm center by
the German American hotel. Remember the Kris kringle marts in
the castle square?

Hi I posted on here a little while ago but I figured It wouldn't
hurt to try again! Anyway I'm trying to find my father who was
in the army! He was stationed at the pinderbarracks in either
78/79 to 81 or 82 but I'm not real sure and I believe his name
was spelled David Davila or something like that! He called
himself a newyorican cuz he was puerto rican! My moms name is
Debbie and she was 16/17 at the time and my dad was 25! My mom
believes he was Divarty at the time! So if anyone has ANY
information it would be greatly appreciated! I need to catch him
up on 27 years of my life plus its been my wish since I can
remember! Plus if he is reading this I want to meet him and Im
not mad at him! I just want him to be a part of my life!

Although never "stationed" at Pinder my Battalion HQ was there
and I made many trips to Pinder. In 1965, when COSTAR II came
about, the 71st Maint Bn (DS) opened a Tech Supply and 3rd
echelon repair facility there. I helped set up the Editor
section in the Tech Supply. A bunch of us from Co. D in Merrell
Bks were trucked to Pinder to help set up the Tech Supply in Aug
and Sep of 1965. I did two tours in the Nurnberg Area and
enjoyed both of them.

knows me please write. I am looking for Michael Eisner. Hope
that is his last name. Used to be the S-3 driver for the 577 and

I thank whoever started this site. I am just browsing and having
many memories, most good some not so good. I was stationed with
HHB 6/14th FA from 1977 to 1979. I was then transferred to B
Btry 6/14th FA till 1980. I PCSed to Ft. Campbell with the 101st
Airborne and came back to Germany in 1982 to finish my last year
at Darby Kaserne with HHB 1/94thFA. I have recently been in
contact with a lot of guys especially from Pinder. If anyone
knows of the whereabouts of Dean Rossi please let me know. How I
miss the old days at the Pizzeria and the rock bar. Take care
for now write back
Mark Ballance:
Ted, if you are the same Ted Dickerson I remember, you
played rugby for the Nuernberg Rugby Football Club with Lt.
David McNaughton, Sgt. David Sullivan, Maj. Sterling Lewis,
and the list goes on. Have you by chance heard from any of
our old club members? Remember the trip you, Frank Demonte,
and I made to Munich on the train to play a match when
Munich RFC and Augsburg RFC played. Some fun times were had
especially after the matches. Anyway, you can find some of
my entries at the Johnson Barracks site. I have two email

Ted Dickerson:
Hi Mark, I think that I do remember You. It's been so long.
I still keep in touch with Frank Demonte as well as others
from back in the day. I miss the old rugby beer parties. I
believe that I have a photo of all of us before heading to
Munich. I wish I could get in touch with Dave McNauton.
|
Richard Pincus:
Hello Sir, I must admit that My memory isn't what it used to
be. Did You play Rugby with us? I was in FDC B btry 6/14. Do
You remember Dave McNaughton? I would really like to hear
from him or drop a line to him. Hope all is well with You
and Yours. |
Mark Ballance:
Ted, I lost contact with almost all of our club within a
couple of months of leaving W.Germany. I did however
continued playing for a local club here in St. Louis, MO
(St. Louis Rebels that merged with the St. Louis Highlanders
forming the St. Louis Raiders) for about three more years
until my doctor made me quit due in part to my knees. I have
been searching high and low for the members of our old club
and you are the first one I have come in contact with. Those
were some wild-ass parties we had after the matches, weren't
they? Should you talk to or email any of our old team mates,
pass my information along to them. Maybe someday when we are
in the vacinity of each other we might try to see the other.
Anyway you take care of yourself my friend, and hope to
heare from you soon. Cheers! |

I came to Pinder Barracks after Divarty 4th Armored Div. arrived
in 1957. Served as the general's driver until I met my wife and
married her in Zirndorf in 1958. At that time I was transferred
to the Public Affairs Office where I worked until 1962. I
vividly remember when USAREUR Headquarters called an alert on
New Years Eve and had all units move to their assigned alert
positions. We ruined a lot of vehicles that night. I also
remember polishing the hallways in the headquarters building
before inspections.
Would like to hear from anybody who was there during that time.

Hi to all ex Pinder soldiers. I was in A Battery 6/14 (later
then 6/1) Field Artillery from Aug 85 until Jul 93 ranked from
PFC (85) to SSG (93) spent time on the gunline, special weapons
and as NBC NCO. I really enjoyed and also miss those Pinder
Barracks years. Although I still live in Zirndorf near Pinder,
it’s still not the same. I was pretty much amazed to see how
many people still remember their Pinder years and also state
that they miss it.(dating back to the early 50's) A lot of
which(almost 70%) still remember the pizza shack Sorry guys! Got
bad news for ya; that shack no longer exists, but the good news
is: the guy who owned it has his own little pizza place now to
the right of the gate guard house. His name is Cosmo. Pinder is
now home to a lot of homes, a school, some small stores, and
city offices. The gate guard house and the entrance tower still
remain and are under historical landmark protection. If any one
would like to or need any further information about Pinder,
Zirndorf or Nürnberg feel free to ask. and for any one one who
knew me i'd be glad to hear from you.
God speed and take care

kickin'. Lot's of good times there...das gute Zirndorfer,
flip-tops at Graf, gama goat road racing / swimming (they really

echo down the halls from some happy SOB. But there probably
aren't many who would trade the experiences we had. Even when
some 2nd louie accidentally (???) called a fire mission on our
coordinates at Graf...that was a little excitement.
