hello all of you, find this site very great. I geklitscht random because I also rooted in my cooke - barracks - göppingen-have. my me until my 3rd birthday, and then verschwundenenen-known father. Ralph Bapp-Hunt I'm from 12/1958. So my dad would have 57-63 been stationed approximately as much as I sein.so of narration from texas. have been professionally involved in the car or vehicle fleet and the supply of electricity. It would be nice if one could, or even anyone related recall. I love old stories.thanks all.

Heya Jay. I remember it well!! Living in the UK now and spend quite a lot of time in Germany, but I haven't made it back to Goppingen yet. Was in Stuttgart over the holidays and wanted to go, but my wife didn't think it would make for a "fun day out" for the kids.

Hope all is well.

I arrived at Cooke Barracks in August 1956 as a member of the advanced party of the 8th CIC Detachment assigned to the 8th Infantry Division headquarters. The division headquarters moved to Bad Kreuznach in December 1957 when the division became part of the 7th Army reserve. During that move I was assigned to the detachment field office at Lee Barracks in Mainz where I remained until I returned to the US for discharge in August 1959. Those years were some of the best years of my life and put me on the path that led to my future career as a Foreign Service Officer.

Dear Brigitte,

My name is Ron Tuttle and I was stationed at Cooke Barracks with the Military Police Group from 1978-1981. There was a SFC Hedger (I think) that worked with me Charles Champion, Alan Nutes, Keith Martin, Gary Dollar to name a few.

Let me know if I am thinking of the right individual. Happy New Year to you and your family.

Was in A Co 1/26th at Cooke Barracks from Dec 78 til May 81. Was a wild time in my life. Met lots of great people and made friends with some of the German families in the area. UnfortunatelyI have lost touch with most everyone due to lack of diligence on my part.
If anyone knows or has heard from, SSG Noriega-Vargas, SGT Rick Hanley, SGT Bob Gobble, SGT James Gordon, Spec Marty Kimbrel, drop me a line or have them do so. This year is 30 years since i left Gopp. Seems like only yesterday.
