I was stationed at Flak from 77- 1980 396th Trans went by the name ASH 3plt 3rd sqd truck and trailer. What good times.

I was stationed at Flak Kaserne Between Aug 1957 and Jan 1960 in “A” Co. 34th Sig. Bn., We, as I recall, were between the Mess hall and the service club. Just down from us was a 7th Army Transportation Co. At that time only Co’s. A and B were with the 34th Sig. Bn and the rest of the outfit was at Kelly Barracks in Meringen (spelling) on the other side of Stuttgart.

Training Clerk for HHC107th, May-66 to Aug-68. Worked under 1LT, TC Herman G. Broughton. Lived about 3 blocks from Flak. Oldest daughter born at 5th Gen Hosp, Bad Constat. Would love to go back with wife and daughter some day.

I’m responding to reply #13- I was in the 7th Army transportation division. I lived in the last barracks in between Battlion headquarters and the mess hall across the street from the gym. Seems like there was a little movie house there also. I drove a douce and half all over Germany, drank a lot of beer at the Crazy Horse. I had a lot of fun serving my country and I’m very proud I did.My girl friend and fiance wrote me everyday; we got married when I got out and have been married from 1967 to present 2011; and we feel like we served together. I was also stationed at Flak Kaserne with the 396th Transportation Company from 1974 – 1975. Yes, pictures are hard to come by. I would love to see the pictures. My kids had asked if had pictures of where I was stationed.

my husband elbert was stationed at coffe barracks 39th combat support in 1978
