I was stationed there from 88 to 92. 1st BN 32FA. Service battery Lance Missle Tech.
Maintained the Lance Peculiar equipment then assisted in the destruction of it all. When Lance was disbanded.
I was stationed there from 1975-1977.I was assigned to the 30th trans co work in the computer van down at the railhead right across from the housing area. Would love to hear from some of the old guys
Hello to all. My brother, Don Beilman and I were stationed at Fliegerhorst from Jan 55 to June of 56. We were with company B of the 46 AAA Bn (AW) (SP), a unit of the 4th ID. Would be interested to contact anyone who was in the 46th at that time. A great time and the best of all possible times to be in the old “OD” Army (before the issuance of the new green uniforms). We spent a lot of time in the field on various field exercises. My brother and I were transferred to Mannheim (Sullivan Barracks) when the 4th ID gyroscoped back to the states. I would suspect that the photo of the gate is during the 1960′s when they were wearing black boots but still had the Sun Tans. We were still wearing the brown boots and solid green fatigues. Yes, WW II and Korea vintage stuff. But God was it great duty.
I was there 83 to 87had a lot of good times would like to here from anyone that was there I was in the first building just inside the gate on the left side. I was in maint.109 howitzers.

I was stationed at SVC BTRY 1st BN 32nd FA from 81 – 83. Had alot of great times there and made lots of memories. One of the local places we liked to go to was the Bier Brunig. Seeing the gate again bring back memories of doing UP duty. Our unit is the building you see in the pic when facing the gate. It was the second building on left.
