yeah Dale I do remember the snowball fight. I didn't participate myself, but my friends said they did put rocks in the snowballs. You just can't trust those personnel clerks. Good times.

sombody said that they tried to visit the base. four years ago i wrote my state senator harry reid about visiting bases. when i got there my escort was there waiting to take me around. i was stationed on funari, spinelli, and colman. there was no hurrying around. give it a try before the bases close.

I was assigned to 7th Army Support Command HQ at Funari in April 1962. My first billet roommates worked at ASOC. They were Fred Ray, Jim Mair, Bob White (different room) and Fred Stuhlman according to an old picture I found . I'll always remember the window rattling sudden roars when ASOC pilots getting in flight time would buzz the place about taking the roof off our building (and then you would get a call from our CG's office and issue the standard denial that it couldn't have been any of your people doing it). Meanwhile, what other Air Force guys would buzz Funari?

Stationed at Funari Barracks and taught at the Signal School 1968-1969. Then at the radio station in Schwetzingenm 1969-1970. Looking for students, fellow instructors and operators from that time.
