    I was stationed at the 7th maintenance battalion in germersheim Germany from nov. 1968 thru may 1970 had a great time over there drinking beer and partying. Anybody. That was over there and remembers me give me a e mail. Like my buddy Jimmy Stewart from nj. Tom hillock from California Dennis Joyce from the Bronx Saunders from carolina etc.

      Tom, you left about the time I got there. I arrived in Mar, 70, left Feb 73, assigned to the 7th Maint Bn.

    I was stationed at The 19th Medical Detachment from March ’69 to August ’71.Great duty and a great group of GI’s & civilians.

      That was the best assignment I had during my career, My worst was in Goeppingen, with the 1st Inf Div.

    I was stationed with the 7th Maint Bn, CEGE, from Mar 70 to Feb 73, Some of the names I remember, Sgt Walter Sherrin ( SugarBear), Sgt Willie Gill ( Mule Man), SP5 Roy Turner, SGT Thomas Duke ( The Duke), Sp4 William McBeath ( Hillbilly) just to name a few, I worked in MIS. Looking for anyone that may have been there during that period.

      I was there from may 1971 to january 1974, I hung out with chuck emigh , pat kempf , larry johnson . ron tague . among others . I believe the first sergeant was Hansen . and we had a captain dunn . I had a great time. i processed documents and dispatched supplies to depots all across germany. I was 18 years old when I got there . I was a sp/4. and up for sergeant , but decided to end my 3 year career.

    I was working at the Germershiem, Child Care Center back in 1982-85. Worked with Carole A. Owens who was the director at that time. I also attended the Protestant Church and Baptist Church and knew Pastor Henderson and his wife also Phil Henkle and wife. Please contact me if you were there at that time. Aloha from Hawaii!

    I was stationed in Germersheim from 64 to late 66. I was in the second barracks; can’t remember the name or unit. Anyone there at this time drop a note here.

      JON, I WAS AT GERMERSHEIM FROM 62 TO 65 WITH A-BTRY, 56TH AIR DEFENSE, AS BTRY SUPPLY SERGEANT. WERE YOU WITH THE UNIT THAT MAINTAINED THE PREPOSITIONED EQUIPMENT? WHILE I WAS THERE AND IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, THERE WAS ONLY THREE UNITS ON POST, THE DEPOT, MISSILE AND THE MAINTENANCE UNIT. WELL THERE WAS A LABOR BATTALION OF A FEW CIVILIANS THAT GUARDED THE POL UNIT AT BELLHIMER. FROM WHAT I SEE HERE GERMERSHEIM HAD A LOT GOING IN THE 70′S AND 80′S. OUR HOUSING WAS IN KARLSRUHE, NO SCHOOLS OR MUCH OF ANYTHING. WHILE I WAS THERE A NEW BUILDING WAS BUILT FOR THE CLUB AND THIS WAS NEAR THE GATE. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE FROM THIS TIME.     I was there in 1951 & 1952. Tent City. Lister Bags in Co. area for drinking water. One of the first buildings was the Mess Hall. Second year they built barracks.
    98th. Ord. Field Maint. one of 3 Cos stationed there at that time. It was rough but it sure beat pipeline to Korea.

    I found a faded photograph of the supply room guys, Ford, Thompson, Barritt, the Garys, Sgt Lovejoy and Sgt Valesquez, myself and others. Taken probably after an I.G. inspection. But it is rather faded. When I was there 68-69 the T.D. supply room was a wooden building across from the barracks. There was another wooden building in back of the supply room that disassembled quite suddenly during a freak wind storm.

    I Remember Thompson, Sgt Lovejoy, the Garys, but what about Maxwell, and Frank Hall? I went to ‘Nam too from Germersheim.

    Was with 7th Maint Bn in ’66-’68 (and shipped out to ‘Nam). 1SG Maxey was there. Worked with Dennis Thompson from WI, Roger LaBranche from Medford, OR. Drove daily with Gary Keenan from Buffalo, NY–to Mannheim and/or Stuttgart. There was Gary Espie from MI. Murray from KY. Morton at the Mess Hall. Johnson at the Armory. (Will look for pictures and come back.)

      I was there also during that time, made buck sergeant Dec 1966, and went to 7th Army NCO Academy in 1967.
      Had some great memories of the NCO club and Germersheim night life. I may have some pictures that were taken during that time.

    Hallo , keine Ahnung ob ich hier richtig bin aber ich versuch es einmal . Mich hat ein Gewisser Mr. R.Rogers übers Internet erreicht er möchte Kriegveteranen aus dem Irak helfen oder so ähnlich . Ich glaube er benutzt ein Übersetzer Programm ich kann nicht all zuviel aus dem Text heraus interpretieren .
    Ist das eine Nepper – Bauernfalle oder was kann ich tun , er behauptet ein Armeeangehöriger zu sein .
    Also wenn ihr mir helfen könntet wäre ich sehr froh , wenn nicht lasst es mich doch bitte auch erfahren . Dankend im Vorraus Heiko Prüßing

      DANIEL, WHERE WAS A-2-67 ADA LOCATED? WHEN I WAS AT THE GERMERSHEIM ARMY DEPOT FROM 62 TO 65 WITH A-BTRY, ADA, THE UNITS ON THE DEPOT OTHER THAN A-BTRY WAS THE DEPOT AND THE MATENANCE COMPANY IN CHARGE OF THE PRE POSITIONED EQUIPMENT. ALSO, SOME ONE WROTE ABOUT WORKING AT THE GYM AND ABOUT A HOUSING AREA THERE AT GERMERSHEIM. WHEN I WAS THERE ALL OF HOUSING, COMMESSARY AND OTHER FAMILY FACILITIES WERE IN KARLSRUHE. I DEO REMEMBER THAT THERE WAS ANOTHER MSL SITE A SHORT DISTANCE FROM THE DEPOT AND COULD HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED AS BEING AT GERMERSHEIM. ANY INFO ON THIS IS APPRICATED.
