  4. I was at Smith Barracks with 9th Engr Bn Hq Co 1957,58,59. Anybody remember that far back? Had a lot of fun down town!

  5. Looking for old friend, SSG Larry Williamson. i believe was stationed there in late 70s and mid 80s. he was at FT HOOD between these times,, he was with a TANK company,

  6. Was stationed at Smith Barracks (ACo. 9th Engr.) from 1980-1983. Sure do miss that town had a lot of fun all over town.

  7. I was stationed in ready kaserne but I worked at the gym on Smith Kaserne for 6 months in late 1979. SGT. Roberts (pops) was in charge of the gym.

I was stationed in a-burg at graves kaserne from jan.1963 to sept.1966 in b company 1/7 3rd inf. div. with guys like charles growe and gerald reddington and thomas reddington henry tremblay and al volo. sgt. grisby,major cooper and so many others that got levied to nam.they got everyone with 6months or more so I missedit when I only had 4 to go. If you know anyone please respond.

  11. Stationed with Mortar Battery in A’burg ’58-’59., 3rd ID. Any of the old timers out there?

    • I was there in 1958-60 C- Company near the mess hall. Was online here looking for pics. Did not really expect to see a post from anyone else. I am starting to believe very few are left.

    • Arrived there in June 59 back to states Nov 60. Just had our 53rd Army Runion of Co. D. Most of us were from the east coast USA (draftees)

    • Smith Barracks 9th Engr. Bn. Anybody remember Dixie Bar, Sputniks,Franks Bar, Little White Church. Hernandos Hideaway. Lots of fun. Many good friends. Like to hear from some of you guys.

  12. Was in I Co., 87th Infantry, 10 Infantry Div. Smith barracks from 56-58. Served as Company clerk part of this time. Anybody else this old?

  14. Does anyone out there remember or know a Lt. by the name of Terry that was a Wst Point Graduate. That was stationed there in A-Burg ? I left there in 1976 to come back to the states. If you are him. Please email me & let me know how you are . I thik of you often. You were like a Brother to me. When you email me please tell me where you were from in the states. Then I’ll know for sure if it’s you. Thanks.

    • I WAS STATIONED IN ASCHAFFENBURG, GRAVES KASERNE, CO C, 1ST BN 7INF, (CHARG’N CHARLIE TIGERS) FROM SEP 66 TILL APR 68. MY CO WAS 1LT JOHN K. TERRY. HE WAS FROM ALLENTOWN, PA AND WAS A WEST POINT GRADUATE. I WAS HIS COMPANY CLERK AND RTO. I DO HAVE A FEW PICTURES TAKEN WITH HIM. WE ALSO WERE ON THE SAME COMMERCIAL FLIGHT BACK TO THE STATES FOR LEAVE AT HOME. HIS XO WAS JOEL M GARTENBERG WHO I BELIEVE CALLED HIM “JACK”. I DO KNOW THAT HE HAD SHIPPED OUT TO VIETNAM BUT I AM UNAWARE OF HIS MOVEMENTS AFTER 1967. HE WAS “ALL ARMY”. I HAD QUITE A TIME TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH HIM CHARGING THOSE HILLS DURING TRAINING. HE WAS A GOOD GUY. HOPE THIS HELPS. REGARDS.

    • I was in (4th platoon) A Co., 1/7 Graves Kaserne 1981-1983. Sp/4 Albert from New Orleans. i lived on the 3rd floor. We had a BLAST!!! Remember those 113′s? Then at Fort Hood, we got the M3 Bradleys….

  17. I´m living in Aschaffenburg and looking for somebody called “Willie jr. Henderson”.
    Does anybody know him???
    I know that he was based in the casern in aschaffenburg (i think the jaeger-casern but i`m not sure) and it was around 1984 – 1988.

    I also know that he was from california (los angeles) and he was born in august 1966.

    It would be awesome if anybody can help me!!! Cause i don`t know where i can get informations!

    • Was he a Staff Sergeant in C Co r are referring 1/7t Inf? I had a squad leader in 1988 named Henderson. I was not there long and did not know him well but I know someone who might. Sie wollen Deutsch oder Englisch sprechen.

  18. was in D co.3rd med Bn on Graves Kaserne 80-83 I was a soccer player for the A-burg suns. Looking for anybody that was there then.

    • I played soccer @ csc co. in 83, and a co. in 84

    • I was in Delta Co. and left in Dec. of 80 what platoon were you in?

    • Played for the A-burg Suns in 1990-1991. W,as stationed on Graves, HHC 26th Spt

    • I was in D Co. 3rd medical battalion in 81 and 82. I worked in the orderly room right across from battalion headquarters.

    • I was a combat medic at graves barracks. 3rd floor rocked. I also played on the basketball team starting guard. Nate the skate. My cousin Greg was there at graves 1982-83.

    • My Grand father was playing soccer in graves kaserne but I dont know when. His name was Kurt Matthes, leader of the Germany-American Volksmarchers Club (Rotwasserstrasse 33, guesthouse “Ecklaterne”)…

    • I was in 3rd Medical Battalian Alpha Company from 82-83 drove an ambulance A-38 and hung out with some great people, I haven’t heard from anyone since. Anybody out there heard of Rick Osborne, Gary Hurt, George Mullarkey?
