I hope you have had some good luck locating your father. It was very touching to read your comment. Some suggestions: You know his name, so you can look him up on the Internet under "White Pages." You also know where he comes from, so enter that and see what comes up. You can tell by the information they have regarding age, etc. I send you my best wishes that you will reach him or his family.

I was with the British Liaison office at Campbell Barracks from 1969 until 1971 and worked closely with the CENTAG plans staff in coordinating the movement of British Army conducting exercises in the CENTAG area of responsibility. I was a great job and experience working with the many different nationalities that worked there. I recall working with a Bundeswehr Lt. Col. who was a Count. He bought my glengarry (a Scottish military cap) from me and insisted on giving me an outrageous amount of money for it. There was also a Canadian Lt. Col. named Rasmussen there who also was a great fellow to work with. I wonder now and then if they are still with us.

I was at Hammonds Barracks in 1979 and helped with the move to Heidelberg not long after. I was a NATO MP and was driving the MP shift bus when the attempt was made on General Kroessen (sp?). I use to hike to the old Roman Amphitheater outside of Heidelberg, among other places. I met my wife there (she was Army too) and we are still together after raising four children and having two grandchildren. What memories.

I am the daughter of Stanley Parker who was stationed in Mannheim around 1957 to 1959..He meet my mother Regina Magin around 1958 who lived in Ludwigshafen. I was born on Dec. 20, 1959. I know that Stanley Parker also nicknamed Stan has red hair, is married and has a family somewhere in Oklahoma. His age should be somewhere around 75 to 80 years of age. I just found out this last year that he was my father on the death of my mother. Please someone help..Thank you
