I was at Henry Kaserne from April of 1961 until about April of 1963, when I moved down the street to Warner Kaserne to spend my last six months in the army. I was originally in the 46th Infantry, 7th Army at Henry, which was re-named 19th Infantry of the 24th Infantry Division. Lots of trips to Hohenfels, lots of trips to the Hofbrauhaus, lots of trips to Goethestrasse. Went to Greece for a NATO exercise in... early '63 I guess. Flew there on noisy old C-124 Globemasters. Hated the winters, loved everything else.

I was at Henry from the summer of '67 to the summer of '68 with E Co. 724th Maint. 24th Infantry Division. In '68 we transferred up to Sheridan Kaserne at Augsburg when half of the Div. rotated back to the states. I was there until July of '69. Some of the best years of my life. Anyone out there from that era please contact me.

Same unit 64-66 HqHq Company. Remember the Martesa (sp) a big beer hall near the Bonhoff mostly glass mugs though. Many brain cells at the Hofbrau, too. Went to Spain without a pass in 64 I think.
