I moved back to A’burg in 2003 and married my old girlfriend from the 70′s. A’burg has really changed. It was sad to go back because I was expecting to see everything the same. But it has really transformed into a beautiful city..My wife and I in 2010 moved to NE Florida and love living at the beach. Life is so hot… I was in 536MP 1972-1975
I was assigned to HHB 6/62nd Arty in Jan 1968. I came to the 62nd after a tour in Vietnam and in 1968 Europe a Viet Vet was a rarity. The 62nd CO was an okay LTC, but the MAJ XO was, well in kindness he was the north end of a south bound horse. The few names I remember are Tom Quirk & Don Peterson. Also a barmaid who was a “friend” to all named Ruth. Also because of the anti-Vietnam furor in Germany I remember that we had riot training which included ways to defend the Kaserne without weapons. We were instructed to use bunkbed spacers!
Looking for “Lancer” that was stationed at Ready with Glen Biby 1979 or anyone who may have known Glen as well. We were there in Aschaffenburg from 77-80
I was stationed there in A-Burg left there in 1976. Looking to find an old friend of mine. Must be getting old because for the life of me I cannot remember his last name. He was a Lt. Blk. & a West Point Graduate. His first name was Terry. If you know him or are him please email me. Would like to know how you are. Thanks
