We knew a lot of people from Kleber kaserne,Panzer, Daener, also Sembach Ramstein, Vogelweh etc. My first husband was in 66th transportation at Kleber Kaserne. I used to go to the Capriclub,Highlife club,Kazabra club. If anyone was in or around Kaiserslautern from …oh say 1978-1985 drop me a line back maybe we knew some of the same folks. Thanks. Just put K Town in the subject box scor0156@yahoo.com.
I was station at Kleber Kaserne from 06/79 and 05/83 with the 89th Trans Co. drove the International Transtar before they were given to the CLG. Took an European out and drove for AAFES Distribution Center, Grunstadt from 05/83 to 06/89. Returned to the US, retired from the railroad and residing in NH.
If someone out there could help me, I have been wanting to contact the headquarters of the 37th Trans. Group, in trying to find someone that could help me in finding the awards I had lost when going before the board for promotion. At that time it was the 53rd Trans. Battalion.

Our office was just inside the gate, opposite Willie’s trailer, on the right side as you came in. We lived just up the hill.
From arriving there and beginning a new headquarters from empty rooms, I worked in the S2/3 section under various majors. As a PFC, I did both the E4 and E5 jobs in S3. Over time I moved to E4 and then E5, being the guy in charge of training and all of its administration until February 1967 when I returned to the U. S.
