    Does anyone remember the guy who tried to start his own religion ?He called it the great alligator.He blieved everone came from alligators.I think he was in h.q.co.2\37.this was about 65 or66.Ithink they gave him a good job and he dropped the great alligator.

    sorry about this. i relly must be getting old. my room mate was named micheal hicks if i am not mistaken and he was i am sure from alabama. john hicks was there when i arrived in ’69. i have been running around all morning. I work at my church and we’re having a homegoing today so everything has to be perfect.

    This is ryan ferebee again. john hicks, we were billet mates. you me and mike nowakowski were in the same room!You volunteered for viet nam if i remember correctly.
    glad to hear you made it back okay. God is great! we were kids during a very turbelent time in the history of this country. we shared some great experiences. I’d like to also
    holler at big smitty, larry huntley, eddie orso and joe astuto,really cool guys, also hello to rich robbins. during my time there hq 2/37 won the company basketball championship
    for the fourth armor division and we were runnerup at the battalion level. i was a co captain of the company team along with j j johnson. we had an absolute ball representing our battallion and our company and i never performed in front of more
    supportive fans. it was just a nice time. well got to go now. I moved years ago and lost my scrapbook. what a downer. i must be getting old, i’m still remembering names, yall. talk to you later, oh, thumbs up on the many pictures of both the post and the area. i had forgetten how picturesque the area was!

    my name is ryan ferebee. I arrived at monteith barracks on january 12 1969. I just happened to stumble across this website. I went from pfc to sgt before i ets’d. I was a medic under captain james phalen and later captain cusick. I played every sport known to man and partied like it was 1999! Among the people i remember was jimmy hutch hutchins,James j.j. johnson,jimmy avant, mateo motisi david olsen william smitty smith ,
    james snowball metoyer ashlet jabo oliver mike nowakowski etc. the co was cpt terry for the most part. got to go,am at work. holla!

I have been waiting for some of our guys to click on this website for the last two years. Its good to see you are still around. I retired 9 years ago and just hanging around reminessing of the good old days at Montieth HA!HA! I ran into Rossi on this site awhile back & got his address and we do Christmas cards.This is awesome We need to hookup with e-mails and talk a little sometime . This is proof there is a GOD .       Clayton, Were you in the room with Dennis Finley and me? We had an indian guy with us for a while but can’t remember his name. His brother died back home and he went home for the funeral and that was the last I remember of him. AL
